REAL PEOPLE GETTING REAL RESULTS
The vibe at The Boot Camp is fantastic.
Positive encouragement, good banter and a really supportive community all marshalled by Ben making this a fantastic place to set your goals and then surpass them.
I’ve come so far in 18 months through lockdown with Ben’s support. Join in.
You won’t regret it.
It’s the most fun way to get fit.
I started bootcamp just before lockdown 1 feeling quite uneasy of joining a big group outdoors incase I’d be judged for being unfit.
I couldn’t be more wrong! I never feel any judgement from anyone at bootcamp and I just love it. I had also never done any type of fitness class before so I wouldn’t have considered myself very fit.
Ben is so encouraging and genuinely wants to see you succeed. The app is a great extra for helping you along the way with loads workouts and nutrition too. I lost 1 1/2 stone last year and have kept it off.
Honestly cannot recommend Ben and bootcamp enough.
I was lucky enough to have discovered Boot Camp at Tulleys in its early days and started my boot camp journey in July 2018.
As with anything new I was reluctant to begin with, “What if people were looking at me and judged me” but this was far from my experience.
Everyone I met from the very first day I started was friendly and welcoming, including of course, Ben Hulme.
He well and truly wants people to do well; he has made it his mission to improve people’s fitness which he does in a non-judgemental way.
Sessions are varied and ever changing, I have been going to boot camp for nearly 3 years now and Ben still brings out new exercises and timings to keep us going!
Don’t let the weather put you off either, Ben keeps going in all weathers, I have completed boot camps in rain, snow, hail, wind and sun!
Ben is always thinking of new ideas to keep people motivated, he has competitions with amazing prizes, fancy dress themed Bootcamps, 80’s night, Dj’s in the Summer months...
The last year has not phased him; he adapted his sessions so they were conducted over Zoom.
He has an app where you can chat to people who share the same goals as yourself and get advice about fitness and nutrition.
So if you fancy doing a “Zombie” or a “Duck Walk” or maybe even a “Russian Twist” (unfortunately that’s not a cocktail) get yourself to Boot Camp at Tulleys where you will get a proper exercise session with friendly folk, in the fresh air with an instructor that really wants you to do well!
Before I started Boot Camp at Tulleys I had said that a boot camp wasn’t for me because I didn’t want to be shouted at by a PT who just stood and directed you.
Ben’s boot camp couldn’t be further than that - you feel encouraged and supported by someone who wouldn’t ask you to do anything they haven’t done themselves.
It really is for all ages and levels of fitness and is inclusive and welcoming.
I look forward to continuing to build on and sustain my fitness into retirement and beyond 😀
I was sceptical of group classes for a long time with the ‘I’ve been going to the gym for years I know what I’m doing’ mindset and having seen some absolute clowns leading classes. Encouraged by Alice (my other half) to give it a try I signed up not expecting much if I’m honest...
But what I hadn’t accounted for was I do what I know I can do at the gym, the beauty of Ben’s Bootcamp is it pushes you to train that bit harder and on the things you otherwise might avoid (yes Legs).
Ben’s adage that it’s you against you couldn’t be more true (unless you train with your ultra competitive other half) - you go as hard as you want or can on any given day.
The camaraderie’s clear to see and there’s no judgement - if you’re a beginner or long in the tooth (in training terms) you will get results so long as you put the effort in - and if you don’t Ben is there to give words of encouragement.
......and he’s been known to drop a Garage Anthem or 2 along the way which gets my vote!
Ben’s Boot Camp’s are extremely hard work 🤣 but immense fun.
Ben is totally committed to his work but he also genuinely cares for each and every one of his boot campers and nothing is too much trouble for him.
I joined in August 2020 and I’m so glad I was introduced to Ben and his Bootcamp gang.
I’ve always struggled in the past with any exercise program due to boredom but Ben’s Boot Camp is different with a new workout session every time which keeps me engaged and motivated.
I would highly recommend Ben’s Boot Camp to anyone looking for hard but fun exercise.
I was so nervous going to boot camp for the first time back in 2020 but after going along Ben was so welcoming and I could go at my own pace, I’ve never looked back since.
Even though my work/life balance can be hectic sometimes which makes committing that bit harder, I’ve never struggled to go back in and not feel like I haven’t ever left.
Boot camp is so much fun and it really is for any levels of fitness, you won’t stand out from the crowd or feel like everyone is watching you, you’ll be supported and welcomed.
Boot camp doesn’t make you feel overwhelmed like how gyms make you feel, you won’t stick to the same routine/workouts because there is such a variety of exercises that are fun and make you feel like you’ve had the best workout!
I was once told ‘you’ll never regret exercise once it’s done, but you’ll regret not doing any’ and that’s stuck with me and so I hope it might help someone else to at least come along and give Ben’s boot camp a go, you won’t regret it
I started boot camp January 2020 on my own. I knew a couple of people there but that doesn’t matter as everyone was so welcoming.
I only had 3 months outside at Tulleys then we went into lockdown so Ben did it online via Zoom which worked perfectly.
I love doing this as he always works on different areas of your body to get results. I’m definitely seeing the results and getting fitter.
Ben is a great trainer and also gives you encouragement.
I would highly recommend boot camp at Tulleys Farm as it’s for all levels of fitness and a great workout
I have been a member of Bootcamp since January 2019.
I want to tell anyone I can what a great day that was....
I was not a very fit 55+ year old Mum of 4! I work as a primary school teacher (retired this year).
I have brought friends and family to Bootcamp. I love the welcome from other bootcampers and Ben.
I enjoy every session, sun, rain, wind or snow! I am not a runner, nor a gym user but I love exercising outside in a relaxed venue and seeing what I can achieve.
Ben is a wonderful man, taking care of each and every member and never asking too much but offering help guidance and support.
I am fitter, more toned and have a wide group of friendly people to share this with. My kids have all been and they have enjoyed it too (age 17-30) If you want to lose weight Ben has a simple plan for that too, like Ben I know others who have matched his weightloss!
If you were unsure let me reassure you!! It is the best workout you can get, no pressure, lots of great company and Ben!!
Come to Tulleys, give it a go, you won’t regret it!

From broken neck to health and fitness success
'THE BOOT CAMPER'
I didn’t know it at the time but my health and fitness journey started when I nearly died in a car accident where the driver of a Lamborghini lost control and hit a tree (I was the passenger).
I broke and dislocated my neck and I had an operation to fuse c3/c4 in my neck with a metal plate and pins. I was very close to being paralysed or actually losing my life.
During my 2 year recovery I put on a lot of weight and became very depressed. I was not in a good place. I was on anti-depressants, it was dark.
One day I saw myself on the TV and I didn’t recognise myself. That’s when I knew something had to be done. I tried lots of different fad diets, but couldn’t find anything that actually worked long term.
The one day to my surprise my fiancée left me and I became a full time single Dad to my two daughters. With so much going on I had a nervous break down which was the catalyst that changed my life. I decided to focus on my health and fitness to become the best version of my self, for them!Read more about ben's story
